Shirley Fong

Shirley Fong, is a vocal coaching lecturer at the Guangdong University of Foreign Studies in Guangzhou. She studied under Professors Jinsong Xian, Yewei Huang, and Weiying Chen. Subsequently, she pursued piano studies under Professor Julie Kwok at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, earning a Bachelor of Music degree. She then completed her Master of Music degree at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts under the guidance of Professor Gabriel Kwok. During her studies, she received masterclasses from world-renowned pianists such as Bixian Chen, Yilun Huang, Aquiles Delle Vigne, and Vanessa Latarche.

In her musical journey, she held solo and chamber music recitals in Hong Kong. During her academic years, she was awarded the Jackie Chan Charitable Foundation Scholarship and the Trinity College London Scholarship for Excellence. She received the Honorary Teacher Award from the Hong Kong Piano Competition. In recent years, her students have consistently won outstanding awards in various major piano competitions, and she herself has been repeatedly honoured with Distinguished Teacher Awards.

• 2025: Served as the Official Artistic Coach for the 7th International String Open Competition
• 2025: Served as the Artistic Coach for the 10th Peacock Cup Vocal Competition
• 2025: Received the Outstanding Award in the Artistic Coach category at the 10th KongQueBei Vocal Competition.
