Lei Xin

In 2006, Lei Xin was admitted to the Shanghai Conservatory of Music with outstanding grades, where she studied under Professor He Xian. During her undergraduate studies, she excelled in all subjects and received scholarships every year. In 2006 and 2007, she toured Germany twice with the Shanghai Conservatory of Music Youth Symphony Orchestra. She participated in the world premiere of Xu Yi's work—the silent film concert "Goddess," performing as the first violin soloist. In 2008, she participated in the Shanghai Conservatory of Music Chamber Music Composition and Performance Competition, winning the third prize in performance, and held a chamber music concert at the National Centre for the Performing Arts. Starting in 2008, she served as a substitute violin teacher at the Shanghai Symphony Orchestra's advanced training school. In 2009, she held chamber music solo concerts in Fuzhou and Ningbo. In 2010, she received the first-class scholarship from the Shanghai Conservatory of Music and was recognized as an outstanding graduate of Shanghai City. That same year, she was recommended for direct admission to the graduate program in Western Orchestral Performance Art at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music, ranking first in her department. In 2011, she went to the Hong Kong Institute of Education as a government-sponsored exchange student to pursue a master's degree in music education. During her studies, she held several concerts. In 2012, she performed as a violin soloist at the Hong Kong Institute of Education's 15th Anniversary Concert, which was publicly performed at the Sha Tin Town Hall in Hong Kong. After graduating in 2012, she stayed at the Hong Kong Institute of Education as a tutor, responsible for violin solo classes, minor courses, and chamber music courses. During the same period, she served as the violin director at the Zhang Shixiang International Violin School in Hong Kong, and currently holds the position of violin director at the Hong Kong Bauhinia Musik Haus.
