Ethan Wang

Young cello performer and educator, holding a Master of Arts. He successively attended the Affiliated Elementary School and Affiliated Middle School of Wuhan Conservatory of Music, and studied cello under Professors Long Man and Shen Yijun in the Department of Strings at Xinghai Conservatory of Music. He currently serves as a member of the Artistic Committee of the Vienna World Orchestra Festival, a member of the Guangdong Cello Art Committee, an expert instructor for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Youth String Music Festival, a judge for the Guangdong String Competition, an expert judge for the "Central Conservatory" Youth Art Exhibition, a judge for the Hong Kong International Music Festival (Shenzhen Division), a judge for the Asia International Art Competition, and the resident instructor of the Kunming International Music Festival.

He previously served as the principal cellist and section leader of the Shenzhen Grand Theatre Philharmonic Orchestra, and has been invited to perform in many countries across Europe, Australia, Asia, and North Africa. He has also performed in collaborations with masters such as Lynn Harrell, Wang Jian, Yo-Yo Ma, Lang Lang, Lu Siqing, and Liao Changyong. In July 2015, he toured Germany, the Czech Republic, and other countries for the "European Music Bridge" performances. In October 2018, he traveled to Algeria, Africa, for cultural exchange performances commemorating the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Algeria. In January 2019, he performed at the Shenzhen branch venue of the CCTV Spring Festival Gala. He has successfully held solo and chamber music concerts at venues such as the Shenzhen Concert Hall, Shenzhen Grand Theatre, and Poly Theatre. Between 2022 and 2023, he held ticketed solo concerts at the Fuling Grand Theatre in Chongqing and performed in five "Afternoon Tea Concerts" at the Shenzhen Concert Hall.
