Mr. Wong Ho Lun currently serves as the conductor for the Beginner Programme at the Metropolitan Youth Orchestra of Hong Kong. He is a graduate of the Education University of Hong Kong, where he earned a Bachelor of Education (Honours) in Music with first-class honors. Mr. Wong also holds a Licentiate Diploma with distinction in Violin Performance from Trinity College London. During his studies, he honed his violin skills under the guidance of Mr. Gary Ngan and learned conducting from Mr. Victor Tam.
Driven by a deep passion for music education, Mr. Wong has dedicated himself to sharing his expertise with young musicians. Over the past few years, he has visited numerous international schools and youth orchestras, serving as an instrumental tutor and orchestra conductor. His teaching portfolio includes over twenty schools, such as Maryknoll Convent School, Korean International School, Nord Anglia International School Hong Kong, and Wycombe Abbey School Hong Kong.
In addition to his work with older students, Mr. Wong has extensive experience in early childhood music education. He frequently visits local and international kindergartens to teach music foundation classes, including St. Hilary’s International Kindergarten, Victoria International Kindergarten, and Rightmind International Kindergarten.
