Shing Kwan Leung, also known as Jim is a graduate from the Royal Academy of Music where he finished his Master of Art and Bachelor of music degree (Hons.).
Jim is a keen orchestral player and has performed across numbers of countries such as UK, USA, Austria, Italy, Chi- na, Japan and Singapore etc. Concert hall include Royal Festival Hall, Royal Albert Hall, Cadogan Hall, Suntory Hall, Hong Kong Cultural Centre etc. He was selected to perform in Pacific Music Festival in 2018 where he worked under baton of Varley Gergiev and with orchestra members from Berlin Phil, Vienna Phil, Chicago symphony and MET Opera. Recent orchestral projects at Academy include work with Semyon Bychkov, Marin Alsop, Edward Gardner and Manuel López-Gómez. He also performed in masterclasses for Ning Feng, Cho Liang Lin, Rainer Kuchl and Albert Markov during his time in academy. He also gives solo and chamber concerts around London as string quartet and trio in places such as O2 and numbers of churches. He had been Leader of both String Orchestra and Symphony Orchestra for 4 years during his secondary school and he was also involved in Hong Kong Youth Symphony Orchestra and Metropolitian Youth Orchestra of Hong Kong. Jim studied with Mr. Fan Ting since age of 4. After graduation from secondary school, he moved to London and studied with Giovanni Guzzo and Michael Foyle at the Royal Academy of Music.
Jim has achieved level 7 Diploma in Music Performance, Fellow of Trinity College London Violin Recital when he was 16 and he participated the Hong Kong School Music Festival and has awarded number of prizes.
